My hobbies at present involve Patchwork and Quilting, Walking, Family History and growing Herbs in my little patch of garden.

Quilting has occupied a lot of my learning capacity and my time since September 1999. As a member of four quilting groups I am kept quite busy. As a volunteer I run a Patchwork and quilting group in a local school.

I am a keen walker, my family take walking holidays in Derbyshire, the Yorkshire dales and the Lake district and Ireland. I have also walked in New Zealand round the lakes and half way up Mount Roy in Waneka.

As a member of Sheffield U3A, (University of the Third Age) I co-ordinate Walking group L which is a five mile group walking anywhere within a forty five minute drive of Sheffield in the beautiful Derbyshire and Yorkshire countryside. The Peak District is reputed to be the second most visited National Park in the world after Mount Fuji in Japan.
